After you have chosen a name for your site, the next step is to add an extension. Extensions are chosen according to your field of activity, that's why they can provide the most concise biography of your site, so choosing the right extension is important. Extensions are classified into three main groups, which will be introduced below. It is suggested that if a site has only domestic visitors and is designed for domestic activities, use the country's domestic (national) extensions, otherwise, international extensions can be used. All international extensions will be approved by the special committee for the approval and approval of extensions, i.e. ICANN, and if necessary, the necessary rules will be provided by this organization. In general, every internet name consists of three parts: First part: WWW which shows the nature of the address.
The second part: the chosen name of the site such as MIHANWEBHOST. The third par Morocco Email List Top Level Domains), which can include a generic top level domain (gTLDs: Generic Top Level Domains) or a country extension (ccTLDs: Country Code Top Level Domains) or a special extension (sTLD) : Sponsored top-level domain). - Top level extensions (gTLD): Extensions such as com, .net, .org. They are high-level extensions that can be registered by any person or organization through companies called Registrar or their agencies. These extensions, which are also called general extensions, are not specific to a specific region or country, and they have no restrictions for registration. - Special extensions (sTLD): Except for general and common extensions, some extensions such as biz, .edu, .info, .gov, .int, etc. are registered under special conditions and purposes. Sometimes the registration of these extensions requires the submission of documents from the owners to the registry.
For example, an extension such as gov, which stands for Government, is used for government websites, and to register them, a written and official request is required along with the translated documents of the relevant organization. These extensions were created because due to the registration of many domains, users faced a shortage of extensions and domain names. - National extensions for each country (ccTLD): Domains of this group are linked to a specific country and region. In this group, each country can request an abbreviated extension of their name, which will be assigned a two-letter extension if approved. After submitting an extension to a specific country, from now on all registration rules will be the responsibility of that country and their official authorities. A country can allow the registration of an extension only for people residing in the same region or create a restriction on the registration.
